How do we get there from here? This is the question we must ask ourselves when we look to build green. The Green Building Strategies section of the Directory seeks to fill this need. Do you want to conserve water? Save energy? Decease operating and maintenance costs? Build a healthier indoor environment?

There are many green building strategies that are tried and true methods that builders have been using for thousands of years. Others represent state of the art, cutting edge technology filtered down from the U.S. space program. Regardless of whether you aim to build a house out of straw bale, structural insulated panels, or just replace your showerhead - there is a strategy out there that suits your needs. The directory strategies represent a sampling of those that have been successfully employed by various municipal Green Building Programs throughout the country.
