Stephen Christensen

Stephen Christensen was introduced to green building in 2000 while building ENERGY STAR qualified homes as Materials and Logistics Coordinator for Habitat for Humanity-Detroit. In 2004, his focus shifted to improving energy efficiency of existing homes as an Energy Educator for WARM Training Center. Stephen then moved to Atlanta, GA in 2006 to work for Southface promoting EarthCraft House, Southface's regional residential green building certification program. Initially, Stephen worked directly with builders to help them meet EarthCraft House specifications as a Technical Advisor.

In 2008, Steve began training EarthCraft Builders and Technical Advisors throughout the Southeastern U.S. as EarthCraft House Regional Manager. Stephen returned to WARM in 2010 to promote green workforce development as part of the Detroit GreenWorks Solutions Pathways Out Of Poverty program and to provide technical assistance and Home Energy Ratings for WARM clients. Stephen has a bachelor's degree from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and a J.D. from Wayne State University Law School in Detroit. He is a RESNET certified HERS rater and a BPI Building Analyst.
