The Southeast Michigan Regional Energy Office is a unique collaboration of non-profits that offers tools for cities to become more energy efficient and reduce their global warming impact, while transforming the regions image from “Rust Belt” to “Green Belt.”
Our mission is to convene and manage a federation of local governments and civic partners in support of efficient and sustainable energy related policies and practices in southeast Michigan.

Governments
WARM Training Center offers technical assistance to municipalities and communities in Southeast MI through the Southeast Michigan Regional Energy Office (REO). The Southeast MI REO is a collaborative partnership between WARM Training Center, the Michigan Suburbs Alliance, the Michigan Municipal League, and the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments (SEMCOG).
The Southeast MI REO is focused on educating, enabling and promoting energy efficiency and conservation among local governments in the region.
It is available to assist local governments in Michigan with addressing their energy conservation and sustainability needs through educational workshops, seminars, resources, and consultation.

Green Policies, Codes, and Ordinances for Local GovernmentsMany tools are available to local governments to help residents, businesses, and governmental institutions become more energy efficient. Knowing what strategies will be effective can be challenging. Our upcoming workshop will consist of three separate panels featuring case studies and examples of municipalities advancing sustainability through a number of different means, with plenty of time for Q & A and Networking. The panel topics will be:
